About

Hello! I’m Jon-Michael, the proud owner of Lowkey GRFX. My journey into the world of technology and creativity began in the early 1980s, a time when video games were just starting to make their way into homes. I was captivated by this new world of digital entertainment, and it wasn’t long before I was exploring the capabilities of our family’s Commodore 64. My mother, who played a pivotal role in my early development, bought programming books, and we would sit together, coding simple games line by line. Those formative experiences sparked a passion for technology and creativity that has stayed with me ever since.

As I grew older, my interests expanded to include music. My father picked up my first guitar for me when I was the age of 11, and it opened up a whole new world of creative expression. Music became a way for me to connect, to express myself, and to create something that resonated with others.

In 2003, I took my creativity to the next level by investing in my first digital creative suite, Macromedia Studio MX, which would later become part of Adobe’s product line. This suite of tools was my gateway into the world of digital design, web development, and multimedia. I began creating websites, designing graphics, and producing content for various online communities.

One of my most notable projects was building up a channel for the Transformers community called TF Prototype. It was an incredible experience, and with the support of an amazing community, the channel grew to over 18,000 followers. It was here that I truly learned the power of combining passion, creativity, and technology to build something that could bring people together.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with several businesses in the collectible toy industry. I started with GCI Toys, which gained a significant following before closing down. Later, I took on the challenge of redesigning Lunar Toy Store using the Magento eCommerce system, enhancing both its functionality and user experience. Most recently, I worked with Agabyss, an online store specializing in collectible figures. For Agabyss, I not only created their front page and site theme using the X-Cart platform but also designed all the graphical banners, animations, and a dynamic video animation of their logo and a black hole, adding a distinctive and captivating element to their brand identity.

In addition to my work with Agabyss, I had the honor of creating the video animation for BotCon’s return, featuring the original Transformers voice actors. I also had the privilege of designing the new BotCon website, which was a significant milestone for me and a true testament to my dedication to the Transformers community.

At Lowkey GRFX, I offer a range of creative services, including custom web design, graphic design, animations, and more. My mission is to help my clients find the perfect way to tell their story, whether it’s through a stunning website, eye-catching graphics, or unique branded materials.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I’m excited to see how we can work together to make your vision a reality.
